How to Install a New Web Browser
If you’re having trouble downloading files in Internet Explorer, you can install an alternative web browser by following these methods.
Method 1: Using Google Chrome Installer

Download Chrome Installer
On your personal computer, visit the official Google Chrome website: Download Chrome to download the installer. -
Connect to Your Server
Use Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) to connect to your server. -
Transfer the Installer
Copy the Chrome installer from your personal computer and paste it onto the desktop of your RDP session. -
Install Chrome
Run the installer on the RDP server and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
Method 2: Enabling Downloads in Internet Explorer
If you prefer to use Internet Explorer but are having issues with downloads, you may need to enable file downloads:

Open Internet Explorer.

Access Internet Options
Click on the Tools menu and select Internet Options. -
Navigate to the Security Tab
In the Internet Options dialog, click the Security tab. -
Custom Security Settings
Click on Custom Level. -
Enable File Downloads
Scroll to the Downloads section. Under File download, select Enable, then click OK. -
Confirm Changes
In the confirmation dialog, click Yes, then click OK, followed by Apply and OK again.
Now you can download files, including installers for other web browsers.
